Everclear To Release ‘Songs From An American Movie Vol. One’ On Vinyl For The First Time

Everclear have announced their Platinum-selling album Songs From An American Movie Vol. One: Learning How To Smile will be released on vinyl for the first time on September 13 via Intervention Records.

The Everclear transparent yellow 140-gram vinyl is a limited-edition version, numbered to 2,000 copies. Pressed by Gotta Groove Records and 100 percent analog, the vinyl version is mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes.

It is available to preorder at https://interventionrecords.com/products/everclear-songs-from-an-american-movie-vol-one-learning-how-to-smile-140g-vinyl-pre-order-now.

“I am so stoked that, after 25 years, this album is finally going to be available on vinyl . for the first time ever!”, said Everclear vocalist, guitarist and founder Art Alexakis. “When this record was originally released on Capitol, it was supposed to be released on vinyl, but vinyl sales were down so much that the label absolutely refused to honor our contract.”

He added, “I can’t wait for the fans to get a hold of this record. It’s exactly how I envisioned it to be almost 25 years ago, down to the yellow vinyl and the original artwork! I hope fans of this record and vinyl enthusiasts enjoy it as much as I do.”

The alternative rock band led by Alexakis and featuring Davey French (guitar), Freddy Herrera (bass) and Brian Nolan (drums), is set to embark on a fall headlining tour featuring special guests Marcy Playground and Jimmie’s Chicken Shack. The tour launch in San Francisco coincides with Vinyl Release Day.

Everclear will spotlight tracks off Songs From An American Movie Vol. One, including the smash hits “AM Radio” and “Wonderful,” during the massive tour.

Tickets for the tour, covering more than 30 cities across the U.S., are on sale now at www.everclearmusic.com/tour
