Girl In Red Shares Cover Of Talking Heads’ ‘Girlfriend Is Better’

Norwegian singer-songwriter Girl in red recently released a cover of Talking Head’s 1983 hit “Girlfriend Is Better.”

The cover version is set to feature on A24 Music’s upcoming compilation album, Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute to Talking Heads’s Stop Making Sense, due out on May 17th.

“Girlfriend Is Better” is the third single to arrive from Everyone’s Getting Involved following Paramore‘s take on “Burning Down the House” and Lorde‘s rendition of “Take Me to the River.”

Girl in red Marie Ulven Ringheim said, “Talking Heads is an iconic band that helped define my identity when I was a teenager and they continue to inspire young people all around the world. Being a part of this tribute is so sick and I’m super grateful I was given the opportunity. Talking Heads forever!!!!”

Along with the new track, the producer also revealed the track list for the tribute project.
