Miley Cyrus Shares Cover Of Talking Heads’ ‘Psycho Killer’

Miley Cryus recently released a cover version of Talking Heads‘ classic “Psycho Killer.”

The cover is featured on the Talking Heads tribute album, Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute to Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense, which is out now.

Cyrus had played an acoustic version of the song live at Los Angeles’ Chateau Marmont in March. The version released now is a synthpop-drenched take on the superhit track. It features a driving new-wave beat and pulsing synths in the background.

The lyrics have been changed a bit as well. The cover sees Cyrus proclaim, “I love you, psycho killer / Gonna love you forever / You know I’ll never run away”.

Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute to Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense also features Paramore‘s cover of “Burning Down the House,” Lorde‘s take on “Take Me to the River,” the National doing Fear of Music‘s “Heaven,” Girl in Red‘s “Girlfriend Is Better,” Teezo Touchdown‘s rendition of “Making Flippy Floppy,” and more.
