Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour Announces Six-Night Run At London’s Royal Albert Hall

David Gilmour has announced a six-night residency at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall this October in support of his fifth solo album Luck And Strange, which is due out on September 6th via Sony.

The residency, from October 9 through October 15, will mark the Pink Floyd guitarist’s first live shows in eight years. His last public live performance as a solo artist was at the Royal Albert Hall in 2016 during a residency in support of his 2015 record, Rattle That Lock.

Luck And Strange features a surprise appearance from the late Pink Floyd keyboard player Richard Wright that was recorded in 2007 at a jam in a barn at David’s house. The new album was recorded in both Brighton and London over a five-month period and has been produced by Gilmour and Charlie Andrew, who has previously worked with ALT-J and Marika Hackman.

Gilmour recently released a new video for the first single from Luck And Strange, “The Piper’s Call.”
