Adam Levine Calls Seeing Mick Jagger Dance To 'Moves Like Jagger' 'Really Surreal'

During a recent appearance on NBC's "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," Adam Levine spoke about an Instagram video that showed Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger dancing to Maroon 5's 2011 hit "Moves Like Jagger."

"It's really surreal," Levine told Jimmy Fallon on the show. "It's just one of those things you're like, 'Oh my, like how is this possible. What is happening. It's bizarre.'"

"My mom and like one of my friends sent me the video," He continued. "I was shocked not more people sent it to me."

Last month, the 80-year old British rock star had shared a clip featuring his moves to a cover of "Moves Like Jagger" played by Splash. He captioned the post, "Moves like who!"

Maroon 5 shared their approval on Instagram with an animated "GOAT" - "Greatest of All Time" - graphic.

U2 Sarajevo Concert Documentary 'Kiss The Future' To Premiere On Paramount+

U2 Sarajevo Concert Documentary 'Kiss The Future' To Premiere On Paramount+

Kiss The Future, a documentary based on U2's 1997 concert in Sarajevo, will premiere on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada on May 7.

The documentary, featuring interviews with U2's Bono, the Edge and Adam Clayton as well as Christine Amanpour and Bill Clinton tells a story of defiance amid the 1990s' siege of Sarajevo during the Bosnian War.

The story follows the band's promise to an American aid worker Bill Carter to perform a post-war concert, which came to fruition when they played to 45,000 local fans in a liberated city, a show that lives on as a joyous collective memory for the people of Sarajevo.

The film "documents how through superhuman acts of courage and creativity, the people of Sarajevo kept going while their city was under siege during the bloody Balkan civil war of the early 1990s," says the Edge. "Their story of defiance and resistance against extreme nationalism couldn't be more relevant to today. To have been even a small part of this amazing story is a huge privilege."

Produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon for Artists Equity and Sarah Anthony, the film is directed by Nenad Cicin-Sain and written by Bill S. Carter and Cicin-Sain, based on Carter's memoir, "Fools Rush In."

Kiss The Future made its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival and opened the Tribeca Festival in 2023.

Gibson Unveil Reproduction Of Slash's 'Jessica' Les Paul

Gibson Unveil Reproduction Of Slash's 'Jessica' Les Paul

Slash and Gibson have collaborated on a new signature model guitar: the "Jessica" Les Paul Standard.

"Jessica" has been Slash's main stage guitar since 1988 and has been used primarily to perform songs from Guns N' Roses' debut album Appetite for Destruction. It has remained his go-to instrument for live performances ever since he retired his Kris Derrig and Max Baranet LP replicas in the late '80s.

Slash first acquired Jessica around 1988. The guitar was one of two factory seconds with three-piece tops that Gibson sent Slash. Originally, the guitar came fitted with a bright Cherry Sunburst, though it was later re-finished with a slightly more subtle Honey Burst.

The new model features a three-piece plain maple top on a non-weight-relieved mahogany body and a mahogany neck with a 50s Vintage neck profile. "Jessica" is powered by a pair of Custom Burstbucker pickups with Alnico 2 magnets that are hand-wired to Orange Drop capacitors.

"This guitar has been with me since 1988," Slash said in a press release. "It's faded, I f---ing dropped a cigarette on it . I named it when I was drunk, but I don't remember what the catalyst for that was!"

The "Jessica" signature model retails for $3,199 and is available via Gibson's website.

Rush's Alex Lifeson Featured On New Trifecta Track 'Once Around The Sun With You'

Rush's Alex Lifeson Featured On New Trifecta Track 'Once Around The Sun With You'

Rush's Alex Lifeson features on a new Trifecta single, "Once Around the Sun With You."

"Once Around The Sun With You" is the third single from the band's new album The New Normal, which arrived on Friday via Kscope.

"'Once Around the Sun with You' is an anniversary song written for my wife in commemoration of all the years she's put up with me. Need I say more? The Woman is a saint," lyricist and singer Nick Beggs shared.

Speaking on the collaboration with Lifeson, Beggs said "Our history with Alex Lifeson goes back quite a few years to when Rush invited a number of artists to rerecord an anniversary version of their classic album 2112. Steven Wilson and band rattled off a version of The Twilight Zone one afternoon during sound check which was included on the final release. I also invited Alex to play guitars on the Mute Gods' song One Day so I guess it was only a question of time before he was asked to contribute to Trifecta too. I don't like to bug him too much but if it's a song I think he'll enjoy I'll inevitably send him a demo to gauge his response. He instantly related to Once Around The Sun and added some wonderful guitar colour to the track."

Beggs formed Trifecta in 2021 with bandmates Craig Blundell and Adam Holzman. The trio released their debut album, Fragments, that same year.

Kelly Clarkson Covers Miley Cyrus And Stevie Nicks' 'Edge Of Midnight'

Kelly Clarkson covered Miley Cyrus and Stevie Nicks' 2020 hit "Edge of Midnight" during the "Kellyoke" segment of a recent episode of "The Kelly Clarkson Show."

Clarkson, wearing a black leather skirt and a vintage Billy Joel concert tee, rendered the lead single from Miley's seventh studio album, Plastic Hearts.

"Yeah, it's been a long night and the mirror's tellin' me to go home/ But it's been a long time since I felt this good on my own/ Lotta years went by with my hands tied up in your ropes/ Forever and ever, no more," Clarkson sang before busting into the self-assured chorus.

"I was born to run, I don't belong to anyone, oh no/ I don't need to be loved by you," she sang with the backup singers providing soulful support. "Fire in my lungs, can't bite the devil on my tongue, oh no/ I don't need to be loved by you."

"Edge of Midnight" hit No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 in December 2020.

Lady Gaga Stars As Harley Quinn In First 'Joker: Folie A Deux' Trailer

Lady Gaga Stars As Harley Quinn In First 'Joker: Folie A Deux' Trailer

A trailer released by Warner Bros. for Joker: Folie à Deux, the sequel to the 2019 psychological thriller Joker, features Lady Gaga as henchwoman Harley Quinn.

"I'm nobody," Gaga's Harley tells Joaquin Phoenix's Arthur Fleck in the trailer, as a version of Hal David and Burt Bacharach's 1965 classic "What the World Needs Now Is Love" plays in the background. "I haven't done anything with my life like you have."

The trailer also features visuals of several musical moments in addition to the "What the World Needs Now Is Love" song. Steve Coogan's character is heard saying, "We use music to make us whole, to balance the fractures within ourselves,"

In a scene with Coogan, Phoenix acknowledges his relationship with Harley Quinn, saying, "I'll tell you what's changed: I'm not alone anymore."

The Todd Phillips-directed film also stars Zazie Beetz, Catherine Keener and Brendan Gleeson.

Variety previously said the film is "mostly a jukebox musical" that integrates at least 15 reinterpretations of "very well-known songs" and could contain one or two original soundtrack songs as well. It added that the film is expected to "break the mold of traditional musicals."

Joker: Folie à Deux is set to premiere in cinemas on October 4.

Dee Snider Says Twisted Sister Reunion Offers 'Getting Close'

Dee Snider Says Twisted Sister Reunion Offers 'Getting Close'

Former Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider has said that the offers the band are receiving to reunite have almost become too good to turn down.

In an interview with "The Hook Rocks!" podcast, Snider offered an update on the status of the band, who did reunite for a one-off performance in 2023 for Twisted Sister's induction to the Metal Hall of Fame.

"As a result of all the bands retiring and dying, the offers get bigger and bigger for the holdouts to come back. And we retired in 2016, I think it was. So we're on eight years now of not playing, with no intention of coming back," Snider explained. "But - my father, he says, 'Everything before the word 'but' is bullsh*t - but at some point, you've gotta say, 'Well, how can I say no to that?'"

He continued, "Is it there yet? No. Is it getting close? Yeah. Is there talk amongst us, like, 'Well, in the event that the numbers do get there, and they sure as hell seem to be going in that direction, how are we gonna do this?' So there's a little bit of that conversation. And that's both physically how we're gonna do it and on a number of other levels."

Snider also confirmed that the remaining band members are all friends, saying, "The surviving guys, we all talk and we're all friends and we love each other. And that was one of the great things that came out of getting back together the first time is that we managed to fix the friendships and be friends and that, to me, is really why I wanted to do it in the first place, getting back [together] last time. So, anyway, we'll see what happens."

St. Vincent Blasts 'American Idol' Covers Of 'Hallelujah' As 'The Worst Thing In The World'

St. Vincent Blasts 'American Idol' Covers Of 'Hallelujah' As 'The Worst Thing In The World'

St. Vincent slammed "American Idol" covers of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" in a recent interview with Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2, calling them "the worst thing in the world."

"Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah' is one of the best songs ever written, period," St. Vincent said. "It's an absolute masterpiece, it took them however many years to write. The song itself is about the complication that it is to be alive, and the agony and the ecstasy and all of the inherent conflict therein."

She added, "You know how, for a period of time, it became a song that people would cover on American Idol? They'd sing it and just be like 'hallelujah, haleluuuujah.' It's just the worst thing in the world."

Cohen recorded "Hallelujah" for his 1984 album, Various Positions. The song, which has been covered over 100 times and appeared in movie and TV soundtracks, has become a staple of televised talent contests these days.

Several artists, including Bob Dylan, Rufus Wainwright, KD Lang and Jeff Buckley have covered the song over the years.
