Shaboozey And Lindsey Stirling Join Lainey Wilson As NFL Thanksgiving Day Halftime Show Performers
The three NFL games taking place on Thanksgiving Day now all have stellar halftime entertainment planned. The NFL just announced that current Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper Shaboozey along with Lindsey Stirling will be joining Lainey Wilson as the halftime performers at the trio of football games scheduled on Thanksgiving. Shaboozey will perform in Detroit when the Lions take on their division rivals the Chicago Bears, while Stirling will perform in Green Bay when the Packers take on the Miami Dolphins. Wilson was already revealed as the halftime entertainment for the Dallas Cowboys annual Thanksgiving Day game against the New York Giants. “Thanksgiving football is an iconic tradition in this country, and I’m hyped to be a part of it this year,” Shaboozey says. “The Detroit Lions season has been pretty epic so far, and I’m excited to tap into that crazy energy their fans bring to Ford Field. Following the announcement of Chappell Roan’s first Grammy nominations of her career on Friday – including nods in all of the Big Four categories – it was revealed on Saturday that the pop superstar is parting ways with her management team. Roan’s Grammy nominations were conspicuously left off a since-deleted congratulatory post shared by the Instagram account of State of the Art, the management company that signed the pop superstar. State of the Art’s Nick Bobetsky was previously Roan’s manager, after initially meeting the singer back in 2018. “Her immense talent was clear immediately,” Bobetsky told Billboard about his first interactions with Roan. Three people have been charged with supplying drugs to Liam Payne prior to his death on October 16. On Thursday (November 7), the prosecutor’s office confirmed it brought charges against a hotel worker, an alleged drug dealer, and a friend of Payne, with all three being accused of supplying Payne with narcotics before his fatal fall from a third floor balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel. A man who was apparently with Payne “on a daily basis” in Argentina is accused of abandonment of a person followed by death, along with the supply and facilitation of narcotics. He could face 5 to 15 years in prison. A hotel worker was charged with providing cocaine to the One Direction star on multiple occasions while he was at the hotel, while an alleged drug dealer was accused of supplying drugs that Payne consumed on October 14. Both the alleged dealer and hotel employee face two charges of supplying narcotics to the singer. (Rolling Stone)

On Tuesday (November 5), a judgeruled that Dr. Dre no longer has to keep his distance from divorce therapist Dr. Charles Sophy, who is suing the rapper for $10 million over alleged harassment. The judge found that Sophy failed to prove that Dre posed a threat to his physical safety, and dismissed a provisional restraining order that was granted last month. “The court finds the party requesting the order of protection did not sustain the applicable burden of proof and accordingly the request is denied. Any temporary restraining order earlier issued is hereby dissolved,” ruled Los Angeles County Judge Melanie Ochoa. Sophy appeared in person at the hearing and gave live testimony, while Dre appeared remotely and testified over video. In Dre’s sworn testimony, the Grammy-winning producer claimed Sophy’s lawsuit and restraining order application was “a misguided attempt to undermine” his reputation. (Rolling Stone)
