Willie Nelson's 4th Of July Picnic Headed To Philadelphia With Bob Dylan & More

Willie Nelson's 4th Of July Picnic is headed to Philadelphia with Bob Dylan as one of the performers.

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, Maren Morris, Mavis Staples, and guitar slinger Celisse also are featured on the Independence Day concert lineup, which moves to Philadelphia for the first time.

Cypress Hill To Bring 'Simpsons' Joke To Life By Performing With London Symphony Orchestra

Cypress Hill To Bring 'Simpsons' Joke To Life By Performing With London Symphony Orchestra

Cypress Hill have announced they will perform a show with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall on July 10th.

The upcoming concert makes a 1996 joke on "The Simpsons" an actual real life thing. In the "Homerpalooza" episode of "The Simpsons" broadcast on May 19, 1996, the group accidentally book a gig with the London Symphony Orchestra, triggering rumors of the band teaming up with the famous orchestra.

Cypress Hill had performed three shows with a symphony orchestra in the U.S. last year. Troy Miller will be conducting unique orchestral arrangements of the band's most iconic songs, including "Insane in the Brain" and "I Wanna Get High" at the Royal Albert Mall this year.

"We are thrilled to be performing with the London Symphony Orchestra in such a prestigious venue as the Royal Albert Hall," Cypress Hill said. "It's a dream come true, a collaboration only The Simpsons could have predicted."

Kathryn McDowell, the LSO's Managing Director said, "After years of social media teasing it, many fans may have started to believe it would only be a pipedream - but the LSO is delighted to finally be joining Cypress Hill on stage and in person, and look forward to creating an unforgettable musical moment! Many thanks to the creators of The Simpsons for the idea and to AEG Artistic and PolyArts for making it all happen."

Ozzy Osbourne Joins Billy Morrison On New Single 'Crack Cocaine'

Ozzy Osbourne Joins Billy Morrison On New Single 'Crack Cocaine'

Ozzy Osbourne has joined Billy Morrison on the new single "Crack Cocaine," which also features guitarist Steve Stevens.

"Crack Cocaine" appears on Morrison's upcoming album The Morrison Project, due out April 19. The track also features Tommy Clufetos, who plays drums in Ozzy's solo band.

Other guests on The Morrison Project include Billy Idol, Slipknot's Corey Taylor, Steve Vai, Motley Crue guitarist John 5 and Linda Perry.

Much of the record was co-written by Jeordie White, aka ex-Marilyn Manson bassist Twiggy Ramirez.

"The song's not about crack cocaine," Osbourne told Rolling Stone. "It's about being in love with a chick. But it's kind of what you might think Ozzy Osbourne would do. It's, like, the two loves in my life: drugs and women."

"Crack Cocaine" marks the first new song with Ozzy on vocals since the 2022 release of his worldwide smash album Patient Number 9, which earned him two Grammy Awards.

"I was in the same room as Billy and Steve," says Ozzy about co-writing the song. "The lyrics just came out of the blue. It was written in about 20 minutes."

Dierks Bentley Plays Tom Petty's Guitar In Video For Cover Of 'American Girl'

Dierks Bentley Plays Tom Petty's Guitar In Video For Cover Of 'American Girl'

Dierks Bentley recently shared a music video for his cover of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' "American Girl."

The video shows Bentley playing Petty's own Rickenbacker guitar, flown in from the rock icon's archives in California for the shoot.

The Wes Edwards-directed music video was shot at the Clementine in Nashville, Tennessee, with Bentley teaming up with his band - which includes fellow singer-songwriter Charlie Worsham.

"Holding an instrument that carries so much musical history and significance was surreal, you could almost feel the stories resonate from it as I played it," Bentley said in a press release. "Tom Petty's lyrics and delivery were a huge part of what made his music so impactful."

Bentley's cover version of "American Girl" will feature on the upcoming tribute album, Petty Country: A Country Music Celebration of Tom Petty from Big Machine Records.

Petty's "American Girl," which became a staple of his set lists, appeared on the Heartbreakers' debut, self-titled album.

Black Sabbath Reveal Details Of Tony Martin Era Box Set 'Anno Domini 1989-1995'

Black Sabbath Reveal Details Of Tony Martin Era Box Set 'Anno Domini 1989-1995'

Black Sabbath have revealed the details of a Tony Martin era box set Anno Domini 1989-1995.

The box set focuses on Black Sabbath's time with Martin, the band's second-longest-serving singer.

A new collection that brings four albums back into print after an extended absence, Anno Domini 1989-1995 will be available from Rhino on May 31 in 4-LP and 4-CD configurations.

The set contains newly remastered versions of Headless Cross (1989), Tyr (1990), and Cross Purposes (1994), plus a new version of Forbidden (1995) that the band's founder and guitarist Tony Iommi remixed specially for the collection.

The box set is available to pre-order at https://sabbath.lnk.to/AD8995

Speaking about Forbidden, which was the band's 18th studio album, Iommi said, "I was never happy with the guitar sound, and Cozy was definitely never happy with the drum sound. So, I thought it would be nice to do it for him in a way."

He adds, "I just felt that, without changing any of the songs, there was an opportunity to go back and bring out some of the sounds and make it more what people would expect Sabbath to sound like."

Joni Mitchell's Catalog Returns To Spotify

Joni Mitchell's Catalog Returns To Spotify

Joni Mitchell's catalog has been restored to the Spotify streaming services, more than two years after the singer pulled her music from the platform.

Mitchell had pulled her catalog from the streaming service in early 2022, in solidarity with Neil Young, citing concerns about the misinformation that was being spread about COVID-19 and the vaccine on Spotify's "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast.

"I've decided to remove all my music from Spotify. Irresponsible people are spreading lies that are costing people their lives. I stand in solidarity with Neil Young and the global scientific and medical communities on this issue," Mitchell posted on her official website at the time.

Young recently returned his music to Spotify after the end of Rogan's exclusivity deal with the streaming service, saying, "My decision comes as music services Apple and Amazon have started serving the same disinformation podcast features I had opposed at Spotify."

Following suit, Mitchell decided to return her catalog to Spotify. There is no official statement as yet from Mitchell about the decision.

Noticing the return of the catalog to the streaming service, fans started commenting on social media. "JONI MITCHELL MUSIC BACK ON SPOTIFY THIS IS NOT A DRILL," tweeted one user.

Longtime Styx Bassist Ricky Phillips Announces Departure From The Band

Longtime Styx bassist Ricky Phillips has announced that he is leaving the band after being a part of it for more than 20 years.

"Dear Friends, after touring for 50 years with The Babys, Bad English, opening for Tina Turner (on the Private Dancer tour with John Parr), Belinda Carlisle's first solo tour, rehearsing in Tahoe and recording at Little Mountain in Canada with Jimmy Page and David Coverdale and writing, touring, and co-producing 10/10 with Ronnie Montrose, to name a chosen few... "I've known since I was a kid that live performance is in my blood so, in time I will post any future engagements or commitments," he said. "But for right now, Melissa and I will share coffee talk and meals from home...with our critters close by."

Gavin Rossdale Calls Divorce From Gwen Stefani His 'Simplest Shame'

Gavin Rossdale Calls Divorce From Gwen Stefani His 'Simplest Shame'

Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale has described his divorce from Gwen Stefani as his "simplest shame."

In the latest episode of the Amy & T.J. podcast with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, Rossdale opened up about his 2015 divorce from the No Doubt singer.

"I never thought I'd ever get divorced. So there's a simple shame in my life," he says.

"I feel bad for my kids... I wish I could have found a way to not have that in their lives. It wasn't fun for me to come from a broken home... It can be quite debilitating for kids... the overriding things is you don't want to let your kids down," Rossdale said, referring to his sons with Stefani; Kingston, 17, Zuma, 15, and Apollo, 10.

In apparent reference to his former wife, Rossdale said, "The biggest thing would be when you see the kids that sometimes there's a loss. It'd be nice if there was more of a connection with the person who made them with me."

In 2021, Stefani married singer Blake Shelton, who previously divorced from Miranda Lambert.

"I go to a lot of events where there's 'the other team,' so to speak and I just feel really proud of myself in my consistency as a father. I know in my heart that I'm super consistent," said Rossdale.

Roosdale said that although the separation was "hugely emotional," he preferred not to discuss their relationship in public.

The Rainbow dedicated its patio to Lemmy in November 2016, renaming it "Lemmy's Lounge." A life-size bronze statue of Lemmy also resides on the patio.
